William T. "Buck" Thorpe

William T. “Buck” Thorpe, 76, of Emporia, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020. He was the son of the late Neuit & Ruth Thorpe and was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Rabbitt and a brother, John Thorpe.
“Buck” is survived by a daughter, Tracy T. Mitchell (Micah) and a son, William T. “Thad” Thorpe, Jr.; three grandchildren, Matthew M. Cutcliff, James B. Cutcliff and Benjamin W. Mitchell; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Cutcliff; four sisters, Maggie Bendell (Eldon), Edith Morriss, Peggy Vaughan and Ruth O’Berry; two brothers, Neuit Thorpe (Patsy) and Earl Thorpe (Anita); the mother of his children, Ruth W. Thorpe and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25 at Fountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
