Vassar Lee "V.L." Woodruff

Mr. Vassar Lee ‘V.L.” Woodruff, 78, of Emporia, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Woodruff and granddaughter, Tabetha Woodruff; two brothers and three sisters.
V. L. is survived by his wife, Linda B. Woodruff; two daughters, Gail Seward (Billy) and Brenda Murphy (Bryan); son, James Woodruff (Julie); nine grandchildren, Amanda Ricker (Jon), Kimberly Kapinskis (Kenny), Jennifer Whitehead (James), Brandon Woodruff (Amber), Tiffany Woodruff, Craig Woodruff, Bryan Murphy, Jr., Hannah Murphy and Joshua Murphy; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 108, Emporia, Virginia 23847.
