Scott William Inge Swenson

Scott William Inge Swenson, 53, of Emporia passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Avery Drew Swenson and his father, Jeffrey Z. Swenson.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Addison D. “Addi” Swenson; his mother, Martha S. Swenson; two brothers, Jeffrey S. Swenson and Kevin S. Swenson (Kelly); nieces, Kelsey Swenson and Kristen Swenson; nephews, Colin Swenson and Kyle Swenson (Hannah); great niece, Mackynzie Swenson; and his best friend and mother of his children, Kim Swenson-Bell.

The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 at St. John the Baptist Lutheran Church where the family will also receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John the Baptist Lutheran Church, 1351 W. Atlantic St. Emporia, Virginia 23847.
