Roy E. Schepp

Roy Elmer Schepp, 84, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in Emporia, Virginia. He was born July 5, 1942 in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Conrad and Esther Schepp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lory; stepdaughter, Mary Beth; sister, Belva; and brothers, Conrad, Jr. and Ben.

Roy is survived by stepchildren; JoAnn, Billy Roy and Angel; niece, Julie; nephew, Frederick and a number of step-grandchildren.

Roy was an active member of St. John the Baptist Lutheran Church for 63 years. He worked for the Emporia Foundry, retiring after 40 years. Writing poetry, softball and growing flowers were his passions. 

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Lutheran Church, 1351 East Atlantic St. , Emporia, Virginia 23867.
