Rose Marie Daughtry
July 24, 1939 — April 4, 2023
Rose Marie Daughtry, 83, of Emporia, widow of Mallory “Pete” Daughtry, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Smiley; two sisters-in-law, Maxine “Cookie” House and Cinda Smiley and two nephews, Lee House and Steve “Moose” House.
Rose Marie is survived by two sons, Mike Daughtry (Dee) and David Daughtry (Pamela); two grandchildren, Justin and Michael Paul; sister, Joyce Matthews (Eugene); brother, Larry Smiley; brother-in-law, Percy Lee House and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia.
The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
