Linda Bishop Woodruff

Linda Bishop Woodruff, 78, of Emporia, widow of V. L. Woodruff, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Nannie Bishop, and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Bishop Harrelson, Doris Bishop Burgess, Shirley Bishop Spain, a brother, Benjamin Bishop, Jr and stepson Roger Woodruff.

Linda is survived by a sister, Faye Bishop Hawkins (Peter), seven nephews and six nieces. She is also survived by two stepdaughters, Gail Seward (Billy) and Brenda Murphy (Bryan); stepson, James Woodruff (Julie) and a very special niece, Susan Woodruff (Wayne).

A memorial service for Linda will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia.
