Leroy Jarratt

Leroy Jarratt, 77, of Emporia, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was retired owner-operator of Interstate Citgo Service Station in Emporia and a member of Fountain Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. An avid fisherman, He also was a charter member of Meherrin Bass Club.
Mr. Jarratt is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loretta V. Jarratt; daughter, Angela Harding (Roger); sons, David Jarratt (Kiana) and Robin Jarratt (Michele); ninie grandchildren, Josh Harding (Christina), Daniel Harding (Stephanie), Aaron Harding (Martha), Seth Harding (Rebecca), Alyssa Jarratt, Demi Jarratt, Jeremiah Jarratt, Jacob Jarratt and Jordan Jarratt; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rebecca Newsome (Dennis) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 25 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
