John M. Norwood, Jr.

John M. “Buz” Norwood, Jr, 69, of Emporia, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. He is survived by a sister, Connie McKinney (Roger) and brother, Brian Norwood; three nieces, Dawn Jones (Coby), Faith Ash (Rel) and Hannah Godwin (David) and nephew, John McKinney (Chelsea).
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday May 22 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
