Janice Faye Dautridge Sykes

Mrs. Janice Faye Daughtridge Sykes, 85, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Sykes; son, Samuel Owen Sykes; five sisters, Patricia, Hazel, Mildred, Margie and Gretchen and two brothers, Charles and Julian.

Mrs. Sykes is survived by a daughter, Debbie Delatte (Alex); sons, Linwood Sykes (Allyson) and Donald Ray Sykes; daughter-in-law, Linda Sykes; nine grandchildren, Wendi Briggs (Michael), Dwayne Summerlin (Christy), Samuel Owen Sykes,Jr.,  Ashley Frescatore (Rob), Amanda Sykes, Travis Sykes(Lyndsey), Brian Sykes (Kayla), Chrisopher Sykes and Jessica Sykes; four great-grandchildren, Dillon (Maggie), Kaitlin (Jake), Casey and Sophia and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 26 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia 23867.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
