Hazel Clark Holland

Hazel was born in Southampton County to the late Henry and Florence Conwell Clark. She was first married to Charles F. Lassiter, Jr. She was a resident of Emporia, Virginia since 1993. As her health declined, she was a resident of Greensville Health and Rehabilitation in Emporia, VA. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Lassiter, Jr. and son, William "Billy" Holland, Jr.; her siblings, Mary Clark Owen, Lewis Clark, Roy Lee Clark, William Clark, John Clark and Kitty Kei.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Joan Rideout (M.B.). She has one granddaughter, Donna Lafferty (Bryan); step-granddaughter, Meredith Thomas (Allen) and step-grandson, Bain Rideout; five great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jim White, Grayson, Reagan, and Kennedy Thomas; a great-great grandson Tucker White; two special nieces, Mary Beth Vincent and Faye Owen Hughes, and several nieces and nephews. 

The family thanks the staff at Greensville Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care over the years. Special thanks to caregivers Denise Adkins, Peggy Alexander, and Mary Lee for loving and taking great care. 

The family would also like to thank Pastor Rick Ragan for all his visits, prayers, and songs supporting Hazel and her family for many years.

In respect of her wishes, a family gathering will be soon. Burial will be private.
