Gregg Winfield

Gregg Winfield, 52, of Carson, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019. He was the son of the late Wright and Mildred Winfield and was also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Poole. Gregg was a member of Stony Creek Fire Department where he had served as chief for nine years.
Mr. Winfield is survived by his wife, Sonya Winfield; daughter, Nicole Winfield Mitchell (Steven); son, Gregg Winfield, II; three step-grandchildren, Bryce, Blake and Tucker Mitchell; sister, Connie Gillam (Wayne); brother, Barney Winfield (Sue); a number of nieces and nephews, among them, niece, Amy Wachsmann (Richard); great-niece, Elizabeth Wachsmann and great-nephews, John Wachsmann and Brad Wachsmann.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14. Interment will follow at Winfield Family Cemetery.
