Franklin B. Temple, Sr.

Franklin B. “Frank” Temple, Sr., 87, of Emporia, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was the son of the late Herrmann and Frances Temple and he also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Frank is survived by his wife, Jennie B. Temple; five sons, Randy Temple (Ann), Herman Temple (Terri), David Temple (Sherry), Franklin B. Temple, Jr. (Michelle) and Robbin B. Temple; three stepsons and their families, Roy Velvin, Jr. (Vicky), David Velvin (Nicole), and Christopher Velvin (Patricia); eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a brother, J. W. Temple (Judy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held graveside 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family has requested there be no floral tributes.
