Ethel Gordon, 79, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cervical cancer and liver disease. Born on May 9, 1946, Ethel lived a life filled with love and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Marie Turner, and her beloved grandsons, Alex and Justin Staton. She is survived by her devoted husband, Oscar; her children Donna (Danny), Robert (Josie), Linda (Stoney), and David; and her cherished grandchildren Dylan (Angel), Morgan, Lesley, Nathan, Austin, Anna (Mathew) Kevin, Katie, and Lillie. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren Lexi, Madi, Jami, Robi, Saige, Randi Ann, and Naomi—each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
Ethel’s love extended beyond her immediate family. Her “adopted family” Robin, Charles, Chris, Robbie, Josh, Jillian, and Addi held a special place in her heart, as did the countless friends who became family over the years.
A passionate Girl Scout leader for many years, Ethel poured her heart into mentoring young girls—teaching them confidence, compassion, and the value of community. Her impact will live on in the lives she shaped and the memories she created.
Ethel will be deeply missed, but her love will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
Family will be accepting guest 1pm to 5 pm December 28, 2025 at the home (194 Chapmans Ford Road)
A private celebration of Ethel’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ethel’s memory by sharing a meal with someone you love, or simply taking a moment to enjoy life’s simple blessings.
