Charlotte Ligon Newsome
July 24, 1927 — May 10, 2022
Charlotte L. Newsome, 94, widow of William Thomas Newsome, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Willie Grammar.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Faye Newsome Grammar; son, Patrick “Ricky” Newsome; three grandchildren, Amanda Grammar Blake, Cale Newsome, Brett “Monk” Newsome and five great-grandchildren, Will Blake, Adam Blake, Thomas Cale Newsome, Aurora Newsome and Aidan Newsome.
The funeral service will be held graveside 11 am Thursday, May 12 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greensville Volunteer Fire Department, 209 Halifax St., Emporia, Virginia 23847.
