Carol A. Mayes, 82, of Yale, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh P. Mayes; daughter, Theresa Dolbear and a son, Michael Toone.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Karen Stemann (Robert) and Sheryl Vaughan; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at Shiloh Baptist Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Owen Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
