Bobby L. Baldwin

Mr. Bobby L. Baldwin, Sr., 87, of Skippers, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by two sons, Earl C. Baldwin and Bobby L. Baldwin, Jr.; five brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret G. Baldwin; daughter, Ann B. Temple (Randy); five grandchildren, Brandon Temple (Protray), Jessica Bowman (Jacob), Hunter Temple, Tristan Baldwin (Genevieve) and Brittany Featherstun; six great-grandchildren, Zaila Temple, Jaylen Temple, Layle Temple, Conley Bowman, Alden Bowman and Grayson Bowman; one sister, Betty Hodges and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Baldwin retired from what is now Verizon after 20 years of service. He loved his family and grandchildren. During the last year, his favorite pastime was talking on the phone with his friends and family. He loved talking to his two nephews, Gene and Billy Baldwin (we would love to know the stories told). His true happiness was having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with him. His love of family was very important to him and he was a dedicated “PoPa”.

The family will receive friends 12-1:30 Saturday, January 7 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax St., Jarratt, Virginia. A graveside funeral service will follow 2 p.m. at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
