Betty Coletrane

Betty Ball Coletrane, born December 31, 1930, passed peacefully from her earthly life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

A resident of Emporia, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Coletrane, Sr., and her daughter-in-law, Ginger Coletrane.

She is survived by her son, Robert Coletrane, Jr.; her daughter, Janice Coletrane Norman, and son-in-law Ken Norman; “Maw-Maw” to four beloved grandchildren, Jan-Lee Smith, Alex Coletrane, Justin Norman, and Blake Norman; and nine cherished great-grandchildren: Blair, Reid, Carter, Max, Brody, Channing, Charley, Dylan, and Camryn.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Emporia Cemetery, 500 Spring Street, Emporia, VA 23847.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
