October 25, 1956 — January 3, 2020
Mr. Bernard J. “Pete” Hobbs, Jr., 63, of Emporia, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020. He was the son of the late Jack and Edna Hobbs.
Pete is survived by his wife, Dianne Hobbs; daughter, Lynn Clary (Thomas); son, Earl Wayne Hobbs (Brandy); grandchildren, Ethan Hobbs, Tyler Clary and David Hobbs; brother, Danny Hobbs; sisters, Renee Justice (Clayton) and Yvonne Howell (Ricky) and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 5 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 6. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Fellowship or to Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
