Russell L. "Catfish" Jones, Jr.

Russell L. “Catfish” Jones,Jr. 63, of Jarratt, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moore Jones; sons, David Jones and companion, Pam Hobbs, Joseph “Joe-Joe” Jones and wife, Kelly, Neal Jones and Rusty Jones; daughters, Marjorie and Pam W. Gainey and husband, Tony; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Logan, Lisa Bradshaw and Darlene Logan, a brother, Ernest Jones and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Interment will follow at High Hills Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Purdy Baptist Church, 186 Smokey Ordinary Rd, Emporia, Virginia 23847.
