John T. Brown

Mr. John T. Brown, 78, of Yale, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by a brother, George R. “Slim” Brown and a sister, Katherine Ward. Survivors include his wife, Wyomia Joe Brown; daughter, Carolyn Faye Brown Elliott; son, John Thurston Dean Brown; step-daughter, Lucy Rule Stevenson; step-son, James L. Rule, Jr.; one sister, Iona Martin and four grandchildren, Tina Copeland, Barry Copeland, Jr., Staff Sergeant James Elliott and Portia Tirado. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11 at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
