Wiley G. "Gator" Poarch

Wiley Grayson “Gator” Poarch, 58, of Stony Creek, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at a Roanoke Rapids, NC hospital. He was a member of Sappony Baptist Church in Stony Creek, Virginia. Wiley is survived by his parents, Phillip Grayson and Betty Anne Poarch of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister, Wanda McWhorter and husband, Jimmy of Melbourne, FL; a nephew, Michael McWhorter of Gainesville, FL; neice, Jessica McWhorter of Melbourne, FL and a number of extended family members and friends. Wiley had a lifelong love of the farm and immensely enjoyed his motorcycle friends and the time spent with them. A service celebrating Wiley’s life officiated by The Reverend Jim Stone will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 10 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd in Jarratt, Virginia.
