Claudette Riegel Sexton, 70, was called home on Sunday, November 17, 2013 to join her parents; her son, Nathan and her daughter, Amy in that wonderful place called Heaven. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James W. Sexton; two daughters, Jackie Sexton (Alberto) of Warfield, Virginia and Mollie Harrison (Bill) of Emporia; three grandsons, Christopher, Jason and friend, Crystal Harris and Mason Sexton; great-granddaughter, Ameerah Sexton; two great-grandsons, Christian and Jadyn Sexton and two stepgrandsons, Tony and Alberto Vazquez. “Nanny” will be greatly missed by grandchildren and family. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20. Interment will follow at Emporia Cemetery.
