James Larry Epps

Mr. James Larry Epps, 52, of Skippers, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis French Epps; son, Jonathan L. Epps and wife, Brandy; two daughters, Ashley N. Epps and husband, Jonathan and Emily C. Epps; two stepchildren, John Owens and wife, Stephanie and Leigh-Ann Griles and husband, Bobby; two grandchildren, Chelsea Marie Epps and Kalli M. Barbour and four step-grandchildren, Lucas Owens, Reid Owens, Grace Griles and Philip Griles; his mother-in-law, Alicia G. French; three brothers, Donald Epps, Roger Epps and Wayne Epps; sister Carolyn Stainback and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 15 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 16 at Forest Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
