Johnnie Lee Floyd

Johnnie Lee Floyd, 98, of Emporia, widower of Vivian Abernathy Floyd and Leatha Ferguson Floyd, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. Survivors include three step-children, Horace, Edlin and Sonya; a special niece, Bonnie Eckerd; three sisters, Mildred Bradley, Charlotte Seymour and Alease Pair and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Lawrenceville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Lawrenceville. Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrenceville United Methodist Church.
