Gordon Bryant Harrell, Jr.

Gordon B. Harrell, Jr., age 80, passed away Saturday, May 11th. Gordon was born and raised in Jarratt. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1967 where he married his loving wife, Janice Jones (McEntire). He owned and operated Harrell’s Heating and Plumbing. He was active in the Center Hill Methodist Church, community service, and the leadership of Center Hill Grange. After retirement in 2003, Gordon returned to Jarratt, VA. He attended Lebanon United Methodist Church in Jarrett.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Janice; his five children: Doug, Bob, Shelley (Shelton), Steve, and Sherry (Bynog), and seven grandchildren: Shanon, Rheann, Quinn, Cody, Meadow, Willow, and Daisy; brother, James (Bootsie); sister-in-law Virginia Lee; niece, Toni, and nephews, Gary and Jeff

Gordon was predeceased by his parents: Gordon Sr. and Nora (Gilliam), his siblings Leon (Fuzzy) and Virginia Ann. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Harrell Family Cemetery.
