Jesse B. Phillips

Mr. Jesse B. Phillips, 74, of Emporia, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Pearson Phillips, two daughters, Wynne Doyle and Susan Harvey and husband, Keith; four grandchildren, Trevor Doyle, Payton Doyle, Austin Harvey and Sarah Harvey; a sister, Jean Clay and husband, Jimmie; a brother, Milton Phillips and wife, Betty and two special uncles, Johnnie Bowen and wife, Marie and William Edward Phillips and wife, Jean and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 at Independence United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the church social hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad or to Independence United Methodist Church.
