Guy C. Callaway, Jr.

Guy C. Callaway, Jr., 88, of Emporia, departed this life to be with The Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret in June of 2011. He is survived by his son, Larry G. Callaway and wife, Joanne of Moseley; his daughter, Linda C. Owens and husband, Michael of Petersburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Callaway was a retired architect and engineering supervisor and was a World War II U. S. Army Air Corps veteran. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia 23867. The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, at Greensville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
