Floyd Harrup

Floyd E. Harrup, 88, of Yale died Sunday, November 25, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Ruth J. Harrup; daughter, Lynn Croft and husband, Jim of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Jason Burnette and wife, Ali, Jamie Lynn Croft and Wendy Stone and husband, Jason; a great-granddaughter, Maddy Burnette and a number of nieces and nephews. . Mr. Harrup was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Dunn. The family will receive friends at the home. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church Special Gifts and Memorial Fund c/o Carol Kitchen, 21244 Gilliam Rd, Yale, VA 23897.
