Shirley Prince Allen

Shirley Prince Allen, 73, of Skippers, died Saturday, September 15, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Wyche Allen; son, Dale Allen; daughter, Anita Wong; two grandchildren, Jason Wong and Kevin Allen and wife, Ashley; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Ann Allen; four sisters, Louise Phillips, Bernice Phillips, Ethel Allen and Jean Veliky; brother, Milton “Preacher” Prince and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lila Phillips Prince and was also preceded in death by sister, Meg Banner and two brothers, James Prince and Billy Buck Prince. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
