Thomas "Sonny" Allen

Mr. Thomas E. “Sonny” Allen, 79, of Emporia, died Sunday, August 26, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Earldean Allen; three daughters, Teresa Allen, Wanda Fied and Melissa Allen; son, Timmy Tomlin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Troy Ray Allen and a sister, Peggy Jean Allen. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Allen; a sister, Dorothy Mae Clements and a brother, Robert Eugene “Bobby” Allen. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Independence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
