Ray Cifers

Lawrence Ray Cifers, 59, widower of Kathleen O. Cifers, died Saturday, August 11, 2012. Survivors include two sons, Billy Cifers and Frankie Cifers and wife, Michelle; daughter, Jennifer C. Castro; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Harvey Cifers and William Cifers; five sisters, Martha Rawlings, Alice Gordon, Lottie Gordon, Margaret Conner and Elizabeth Kitchen and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Cifers was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Cifers. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd in Jarratt where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service
