Margaret Matthews Grizzard

Margaret Matthews Grizzard, 84, of Emporia, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Conrad Grizzard; four daughters, Connie Riddick (James), Susan Gillam (Curtis), Mary Conwell (Larry) and Deborah Myrick (Joseph); three sons, William, Donald (Donna) and Timothy Grizzard; grandsons, Robert Edwards, Donald Grizzard, Jr. and Matthew Gillam; granddaughters, Melundy Vandiford, Bonnie Jenkins, Crystal Dively and Ashley Johnson; great-grandsons, Dillon Jenkins, Chase Gillam, Adam Johnson, Jonathan Edwards and Jaxon Dively; great-granddaughters, Bridgette and Brittany Vandiford, Kristina Jenkins, Samantha Gillam and Mandy Johnson; step grandsons, Allan and James Woodruff and step-granddaughter, Tiffany Woodruff. Margaret was a member of Fountain Grove Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
