Shelton A. "Sonny" Norwood, Jr.

Shelton A. “Sonny” Norwood, Jr., 74, of Emporia, died Sunday, April 15, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lorraine Norwood; daughter, Tammy N. Lynch of Emporia; son, Shelton A. Norwood of Blacksburg and two granddaughters, Ashley and Kaitlyn Lynch. Mr. Norwood was a veteran of the the Virginia Army National Guard and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Emporia. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Tammy 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
