February 22, 1933 — April 17, 2012
Emma Ruth Harris, 79, of Emporia, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She is survived by her husband, James Roy Harris; two sons, Danny Harris and Jimmy “Rabbit” Harris; two daughters, Angie Gardner and Pam Harris; eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie S. Edwards and Sally Ricks. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Harris Primm and three brothers, Kenneth Stainback, Charles Stainback and R. E. Stainback. A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at First Christian Church Cemetery, Emporia, Virginia.
