Sarah Walker Harris

Sarah Walker Harris, 78, of Emporia, died Thursday, March 29, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Ervin ‘Snake” Harris; three brothers, Cecil Walker of Lawrenceville, Obie Walker and Sidney Eugene Walker, both of Brodnax; two sisters, Etta Morehouse of Emporia and Patsy Watson of Brodnax and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at church one hour prior to the service.
