William H. "Willie" Nunnally

William H. “Willie” Nunnally, 81, of Jarratt, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Survivors include his wife, Marie T. Nunnally; two sons, Billy Nunnally and wife, Marsha, David Nunnally and wife, Diane; daughter, Carol Ann Nunnally Savage; five grandchildren, Kevin Nunnally, Scott Nunnally, Candice Allen, Stephanie Allen and Stephen Allen; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Jaiden; three brothers, George Nunnally and wife, Bernice, Charlie Nunnally and wife, Betty and Forest Nunnally and wife, Mary; three sisters, Mary “Bootsie” Lucy and husband, Charles, Avis Huskey and husband, Wayne and Evonne Nunnally and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Nunnally, a U.S. Army veteran, retired from Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Jarratt and was a member of American Legion Post 46 in Jarratt. He was President of Jarratt Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was on the Board of Directors of J-M Club. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012. Interment will follow at High Hills Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Jarratt Volunteer Fire Department or to Centenary United Methodist Church.
